Booking & Appointments

How do I book an appointment?

You can book online at any time through our booking system at lifechiro.janeapp.com. You can also call us at (604) 742-0702 or email us at info@lifeintegrative.ca and we will be happy to help.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed to see any of our practitioners. You can book directly with a chiropractor, physiotherapist, RMT, acupuncturist, naturopathic doctor, or clinical counsellor.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Before coming in for your first appointment, please fill out the appropriate intake form that was sent to your email. If you have trouble accessing it, please arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your appointment to fill it out in the clinic. Please bring any relevant health records, imaging (X-rays, MRIs), or referral letters if you have them. Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is recommended for most appointments.

How long are appointments?

Appointment length varies by discipline:

Chiropractic - Initial: approx. 45 minutes, Subsequent: approx. 15 minutes, Decompression: approx. 30 minutes

To help us provide the best care and respect everyone's time, we kindly ask that all patients adhere to our clinic cancellation policy. We require at least 24 hours notice for any cancellations or appointment changes. If less than 24 hours notice is provided, or if you do not show up for your appointment, your card on file will be charged an appointment fee.

Insurance & Billing

Do you directly bill for extended insurance?

Yes. We are able to directly bill to most insurance companies, including Pacific Blue Cross, Manulife, Sunlife, and Canada Life. Most extended health plans cover chiropractic, naturopathic medicine, physiotherapy, massage therapy, and acupuncture appointments. Please contact your insurer to confirm your annual coverage.

Do you accept ICBC claims?

Yes. If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident, we offer direct billing to ICBC for chiropractic, physiotherapy, massage therapy, and acupuncture. Contact us as soon as possible after your accident to get started on treatment. Please have your ICBC Claim number ready for your first appointment.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, debit, Visa, and Mastercard for chiropractic, naturopathic medicine, physiotherapy, and acupuncture. RMT sessions are payable by cash, debit, or cheque - Visa and Mastercard are accepted for massage but a 3% processing fee applies. Payment is due at the time of your appointment.

Are naturopathic doctor and clinical counselling visits covered by insurance?

Many extended health plans include coverage for naturopathic medicine and/or clinical counselling. Check your plan details or call your insurer to confirm your coverage before your appointment.

Services

What is the difference between chiropractic and physiotherapy?

Both disciplines treat musculoskeletal pain and injury, but their approaches differ. Chiropractic focuses primarily on spinal and joint alignment through manual adjustments and manipulation. Physiotherapy emphasises movement rehabilitation, exercise prescription, and restoring function. Many patients benefit from seeing both, and our team coordinates care between disciplines.

Can I see more than one practitioner at the clinic?

Absolutely. We encourage an integrated approach where appropriate. Our practitioners communicate and coordinate with each other to ensure your care plan is consistent and comprehensive. Many patients combine chiropractic or physiotherapy with massage therapy, for example.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies depending on your condition, how long you've had it, and your goals. Your practitioner will give you a realistic treatment plan at your first appointment. Acute injuries often resolve in a few sessions; chronic or complex conditions may require an ongoing plan.

Do you treat children?

Yes. We see patients of all ages. Our chiropractors and physiotherapists are experienced in treating children and adolescents. Please call us if you have any questions about whether a particular service is appropriate for your child.
